Energy service company reveals new chairman

ABERDEEN energy-service firm Reservoir Group unveiled a new chairman yesterday, with Christopher Gaut, the managing director of its majority shareholder, taking on the role.

Mr Gaut joined private equity investor SCF Partners last year, having previously been president of drilling and evaluation at energy-service giant Halliburton.

He also served as Halliburton’s executive vice-president and chief financial officer from 2003 to 2007.

Reservoir Group chief executive Pascal Bartette said: “He brings extensive management and drilling experience and will help us grow towards our objective of becoming a superior downhole service and product provider to the oil and gas industry.”
